Chiang Mai Airport, operated by Airports of Thailand Co., Ltd. (AOT) will be expanded to accommodate increasing passenger traffic and a greater proportion of international flights, over all 20 million passengers per year.
The planned expansion works include:
- Improvement of existing terminal to be the Domestic Terminal
- Construction of a new International Terminal
- Improvement of existing contact apron
- Construction of new remote parking aprons
- Related airside and landside infrastructure works
The project is supporting the airport expansion; the Aviation Fuel System (AFS) will require to be upgraded and extended as appropriate to serve the new aircraft parking stands 8 MARS and 22 Code C and associated increase in fuel demand. The Project design States are Schematic Design, Preliminary Design and Developed Design as scope;
- Replacement of existing Fuel Hydrant.
- Replacement of existing Feeder Lines
- Addition of isolation and instrumentation facilities to support tightness monitoring facilities
